LaMoRo is a development agency established in 1995.
It is a consortium that includes more than seventy stakeholders, both private and
public (for example municipalities, chambers of commerce and so on) with the common
aim of helping the area to grow in a sustainable manner.
Its structural link to the area is also emphasised by the name LaMoRo, an acronym
of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero, an extensive homogeneous hilly area in southern
Piemonte (in North-West Italy).
LaMoRo informs local citizens, institutions, enterprises and socio-economic operators
about initiatives and funding instruments at regional, national and international
level; organises events (e.g. “Tour of Southern Piemonte”; tourist routes including
medieval castles, palaces, villas, mansions, hunting lodges, parks) and promotes
cooperation between different economic operators.
LaMoRo is active in project-making, offering both support at each stage of the project
and consultancy in searching for funding at community level, both for the public
and private sector, creating synergy between local development policy and European
directives in order to develop cross-national projects Over the years particular
attention has been paid to so-called vulnerable categories (women, the unemployed,
young people) through vocational guidance and training in order to support professional
growth.
BUDGET: 262,00.00 €, 75% co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund
