WP4 – Pilot Projects
The activities of WP 4: “Pilot Projects” are carried out by the Development Centre of Litjia (PP2). This work packing concern the definition of pilot projects and evaluation and comparison of results. The output will be the pilot projects at local level, reporting at local level and overall reporting and benchmarks. The activities to be realised within the partnership areas are: work team setting up and involvement of local stakeholders in the management of pilot projects; choice of the specific areas where experimentation will be started up; definition and implementation of pilot projects (also at transnational level), in order to obtain: innovative tourism proposals, new forms of support and promotion for traditional activities (e.g. agricultural and crafts products), models for sustainable development (e.g. incentives for collective means of transport), innovative forms of accommodation (e.g. integrated multi-building accommodation) according to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and quality certification (e.g. EMAS), action of area tourism marketing to promote the sustainable tourist facilities developed and attention and respect of typical architecture and rural buildings.
